Job Advertisement: Year 8 SEMH Teacher (Maternity Cover) Location: The Wirral Start Date: Immediate Position: Full-Time (Maternity Cover) An SEMH school in The Wirral is seeking a dedicated and nurturing Year 8 Teacher to cover maternity leave. This full-time position requires a versatile educator capable of teaching the entire curriculum. The students who attend the school have EHCP’s in place. The class you will be teaching is one of the most settled in the school. The Role: The successful candidate will: Deliver engaging lessons across the whole curriculum, tailored to the needs of students with SEMH challenges. Build strong, trusting relationships with students, guiding them to achieve their full potential. Manage challenging behaviour effectively while maintaining a calm and empathetic approach. Serve as a positive role model, setting strong examples to inspire and motivate students. Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment. Candidate Requirements: Experience working in SEMH or similar settings is desirable. The ability to manage behaviour with resilience and empathy. A nurturing and understanding nature to support students’ individual needs. A commitment to helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve success.
