What’s the role about?
The Lodge Nature reserve is a diverse mix of Heath, Farm, Grass, and Woodlands attracting a whole host of iconic species. Located 1 mile away from Sandy railway station in the heart of Bedfordshire, The Lodge is nationally known as the headquarters of the charity and provides a workplace for many, as well as a place to walk with your family or watch nature.
You will be working alongside staff and volunteers to welcome visitors to the reserve and enthuse them about the conservation importance of the site. You will be expected to role model best practices for reserve fundraising to inspire new memberships for the charity.
What we are looking for:
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about nature and conservation. You don’t need to have fundraising experience, as full training will be provided.
What’s in it for you?
* A 7-month contract that suits you – choose between 3, 4, and 5 days per week (7.5 hours on-site per day).
* A set salary, rather than working to commission.
* 34 days’ annual leave (including eight bank holidays, pro-rata for work pattern and length of contract).
* Full training and comprehensive induction.
* The contract will commence with training in March and active fundraising from April through to September.
* There will be a probation period of 3.5 months.
