About our Colleague Communications Director:
As the Colleague Communications Director, you will spearhead the creation and implementation of dynamic communication strategies that boost colleague engagement and align with Sage’s strategic goals. This crucial role ensures effective communication throughout the organisation, promotes a culture of transparency, and drives change through compelling messaging.
You will collaborate closely with senior leadership to provide strategic advice and lead a team dedicated to delivering top-notch communication to Sage colleagues. Additionally, you will bring our strategy to life, support leaders in communicating it across regions, and showcase cutting-edge knowledge of the latest innovations in colleague communication.

Key Responsibilities
Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
1. Strategic Communication Planning: Develop and implement internal communication strategies that support key company initiatives and drive colleague engagement.
2. Leadership and Team Development: Lead and mentor the Colleague Communications team, including communications business partners and content creators, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
3. Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with senior leaders and key stakeholders to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging.
4. Content Creation and Management: Oversee the creation of high-quality written and multimedia content for various internal channels, ensuring clarity and engagement.
5. Change Management: Lead communication efforts for change initiatives, ensuring colleagues are informed, engaged, and supportive of organizational changes.
6. Crisis Communication: Provide strategic guidance and manage communication during crises, ensuring timely and effective dissemination of information.
7. Measurement and Evaluation: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication activities, using data and feedback to continuously improve strategies.
8. Budget Management: Manage the communications budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and alignment with business priorities.
9. Executive Communications Support: Plan and deliver a programme of Executive Communications support for the COO, including strategic planning, content development, and implementation in partnership with IC and external comms-focused teams. Lead on Quarterly Briefings.
10. Strategic Priorities Communication: Develop, engage, and lead communications plans and content around our strategic priorities in, and connected to, the COO Leadership Team, including with Transformation and GTM teams, focusing on bringing knocking down barriers and simplification to life.
11. Global Communication Campaigns: Work with the wider Communications leadership team to develop and deliver the internal element of all global communication campaigns.
12. Two-Way Communication: Help the business drive authentic, transparent two-way dialogue and conversation, giving colleagues a real voice that is truly listened to.
