Job Description:
Teach Match Education is currently seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic History Teacher with QTS to join the history department at this prestigious school. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator who is committed to inspiring students and delivering engaging lessons. As a History Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching history across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons in history for students in Key Stage 3, 4, and potentially Key Stage 5.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and ensuring students meet their academic targets.
* Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student learning and personal development.
* Participate in department meetings, collaborative planning, and professional development activities.
* Support extracurricular activities related to history, such as school trips, clubs, or history-related events.
* Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
* Uphold the school's high standards of behaviour, safeguarding, and professional conduct.
Qualifications and Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* A strong academic background in History (Degree in History or related field is preferred).
* Experience teaching History to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students (Key Stage 5 experience is a bonus).
* Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students of all abilities.
* A passion for history and a commitment to fostering student's love of the subject.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* An understanding of the curriculum and ability to differentiate lessons effectively.
