We are looking to recruit an experienced and dynamic midwife who has a wide range of midwifery experience and a passion for community midwifery care to join our team.
Approximately 5,400 women each year choose to birth at Mid-Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust. We provide antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care across the Wakefield district and North Kirklees.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for leading and supporting the community midwifery team in providing high level, safe, and compassionate antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care in the community setting. You will utilise your excellent clinical skills and knowledge to drive maternity transformation and enable the service to meet the needs of the local population.
The successful candidate will need to be self-motivated and have experience with leadership and effective communication while working alongside a wide multi-disciplinary team including partners within the primary and secondary care setting.
As a leader, you will be crucial to planning and development within your team and ensuring that patient and staff experience is incorporated into all service improvements.
You will lead the development of standards and clinical guidelines to improve patient care and ensure practice is up-to-date and evidence-based.

* Work with the Human Resource Department to deal with sickness absence, grievance, and disciplinary procedures.
* Participate in the Midwifery on-call rota.
