About us An exciting opportunity for a full time Assessment Adviser has become available within the Salford Assist Team offering support and advice to people who are in need of various forms of support. The role involves undertaking a holistic assessment and evaluation of applications made to the service, ensuring scheme criteria is applied and making informed decisions on the course of action to be taken. About the Role The Assessment Adviser position is an extremely busy role and there is an expectation that the post holder is able to manage their own workload and yet work as part of a team, to ensure all the responsibilities and deadlines in relation to supporting the service are considered and acted upon within agreed timescales. We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive team member to have a positive impact on people through their caring, considerate, and patient approach and that are committed to supporting vulnerable people and ensuring they are able to access the support they require to assist them through difficult situations. About you Candidates must be able to demonstrate how they meet the following requirements of the post in order to be shortlisted for interview: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills The ability to work under pressure and show flexibility in order to meet the needs of the service Excellent organisational skills Possess a good understanding of positive team working and to be able to develop and maintain positive working relationships with the team, other council services and partner organisations Experience of working with vulnerable people Experience of ICT systems You will be welcomed into a supportive, experienced, and forward-thinking team who can, and do, draw on a wide range of professional and specialist support to ensure excellent outcomes for the people of Salford.
