Manufacturing Supervisor - Permanent Location: Northwest UK Salary: £55k - £60k About the Role A leading engineering company with a strong heritage in delivering high-quality mechanical engineering solutions is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor. The successful candidate will lead and supervise the manufacturing operations team to ensure the on-time delivery of products while maintaining safety, quality, and cost objectives. This role involves championing continuous improvement across all activities and requires flexibility to work alternative shifts and adapt to business needs. Key Responsibilities: Ensure team compliance with Health, Environmental, and Safety policies, leading SHE activities in relevant areas. Oversee the production team to deliver quality products within budget and schedule, implementing recovery plans where necessary. Manage resource allocation to meet operational targets and reassign resources as needed across the business. Oversee team welfare, absence management, and ensure return-to-work processes are completed promptly. Drive workforce competence and flexibility, arranging on-the-job training to meet operational demands. Deliver daily updates on performance metrics and ensure adherence to quality management systems. Maintain team capability and capacity to meet production requirements. Lead workplace audits and maintain a "visitor-ready" environment. Skills and Experience Required: Proven experience in a similar role within aerospace, automotive, or other mechanical engineering sectors. Experience with manufacturing schedules, recovery plans, and leading production teams. Proficiency in SAP and familiarity with Material Requirements Planning (MRP). Competence in resource planning, KPI management, and project reporting. Desirable: Degree or HND in Manufacturing or Engineering, IOSH/NEBOSH certification. What’s on Offer: Competitive salary.
