Hywel Dda University Health Board are seeking to appoint a Receptionist / Administrator to work on a rota basis in Meddygfa Minafon, Kidwelly. On occasion there may be a requirement to cover across other managed practices within the Health Board.
This is a diverse role within busy and interesting GP practice. The post holder will be responsible for greeting patients politely and ensuring that the appointment system is run efficiently, monitor the flow of patients to and from consulting rooms, managing queues through telephone and face to face interaction.
This is mainly a telephone and customer facing role and requires the ability to work across the surgery opening hours which are 08.00 to 18:30 Monday-Friday. It will also require all day Friday working., To facilitate effective communication between patients, members of the primary health care team, secondary care and other associated healthcare agencies. This is mainly done via the telephone and face to face with patients.To offer general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.To facilitate effective communication between patients, members of the primary health care team, secondary care and other associated healthcare agencies.To undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the practice. This will include learning how to deal with prescription request/issuing, Test result allocations and also filing of other paperwork and associated correspondence the surgery receives.
