Experience of working in care and relevant qualifications are not required as full training will be provided.
Please note: In this position you'll be required to work every other weekend and night shifts. Full details of shift patterns will be discussed at interview.
The Role:
As a Support Worker, you'll report to the Registered Manager and will be primarily responsible for supporting service users with learning disabilities and autism in all aspects of their everyday lives, promoting a lifestyle that supports individual needs and choices and promotes and encourages independence.
In the job you'll be tasked with the following:
• Following detailed care plans and risk assessments ensuring a safe environment at all times
• Supporting and encouraging service users to take part in everyday tasks including personal care
• Ensuring the health and safety of service users is maintained throughout
• Accompanying service users to sporting activities, social events, colleges, family get togethers, meals out, cinema, theatre and concerts
• Supporting the service users in every other aspect of their lives under the guidance of the dedicated management team
The Candidate:
To be considered for the Support Worker role you won’t need experience as full training will be provided. It is more important we find candidates with the right attitude and the right values. You will be nurturing, full of energy and willing to get involved in activities such as gardening, sports and all the activities mentioned above.
In addition, it's essential that you possess the following:
• A good team working attitude
• A good standard of literacy and numeracy
• Good basic IT skills
• A flexible attitude when it comes to working hours
You'll also need to be prepared to undertake training to get your care qualifications and work towards a Level 3 social care qualification.

Starting rate: £12 per hour, full time permanent positions available 42 hours a week, including:
