Job summary We are a busy Ophthalmic Day Case Unit undertaking the assessment and care of patients attending for day surgery. This includes cataract, glaucoma, retinal and ocular plastic surgery. An enthusiastic, motivated, hardworking and flexible person is required to assist with the smooth running of this busy department. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic person to join the team within the Ophthalmic Day Unit. The post-holder will be booking dates for assessment and surgery, inputting data, preparing notes and booking post-op appointments. At present we have a team of waiting list co-ordinators, who will be able to provide full training, support and mentor the successful applicant. Main duties of the job The post holder will provide waiting list management for the Nelson Day Unit. This role relies on close working relationships between consultants, secretaries, ward staff, patients and other areas/departments within the Norfolk & Norwich University NHS Foundation Trust.
