Job Description
First Achieve's Engineering Division are hiring for a Project Engineer for their client in Aberdeen who because of recent growth, are looking to add to their team.
The Role
As a Project Engineer, you will oversee projects from initial estimation to site commissioning, ensuring compliance with CDM Regulations 2015. You will liaise with clients, manage sub-contractors and suppliers, maintain HSEQ documentation, and make key commercial decisions to ensure the smooth execution of projects.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage projects in compliance with CDM Regulations 2015
2. Estimate project costs based on customer requirements and specifications
3. Plan and oversee projects from initiation to completion
4. Prepare and maintain HSEQ documentation
5. Liaise with clients, conduct meetings, and provide regular reports
6. Oversee commercial aspects of projects
7. Conduct HSEQ site audits and compile reports
8. Coordinate and manage sub-contractors and site personnel
9. Ensure strict adherence to HSE ACOPs, company policies, and client specifications
10. Maintain a professional and safe working environment
11. Carry out any additional duties as requested by the Divisional Manager
Skills & Abilities
1. Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and BOMs
2. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
3. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & written)
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
6. Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces
7. Willingness to work away from home and undertake overtime when required
Knowledge & Experience
1. Minimum SVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant trade
2. 5+ years' experience in a mechanical, fabrication, or piping engineering environment
3. Experience working on CDM work sites
4. Basic knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001
5. Full clean driving license
