Role Summary
We are seeking 2 experienced Laravel PHP Developers to join our team from 13th January, with initially a particular focus on our payroll and AI-driven solutions. In this role, you will work on projects critical to our core payroll and HR technology, leveraging Laravel to deliver robust, scalable applications. Collaborating with our team, you’ll play an essential part in building innovative solutions that improve payroll accuracy and automation through AI.
This role offers the flexibility to work remotely, with a hybrid option for those based near our offices.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, test, and maintain high-quality web applications using Laravel and PHP, with a specific focus on payroll functionalities and AI-powered features.
* Collaborate with front-end developers, designers, and project managers to ensure seamless delivery of payroll solutions.
* Write maintainable, readable, self documenting code, adhering to best practices, including PSR, especially in payroll logic and AI integrations.
* Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and improve existing codebases.
* Troubleshoot, debug, and optimise applications for performance and scalability, ensuring accuracy in payroll-related calculations.
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends, particularly within the Laravel, payroll, and AI ecosystems.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a PHP Developer, specifically with Laravel with at minimum of 8 years experience
* Strong understanding of PHP, MySQL, and MVC design patterns.
* Familiarity with front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Vue.js or React is a plus).
* Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, especially in handling payroll-related data.
* Ability to work independently in a remote team and communicate effectively.
* Previous experience with remote working tools and practices is an advantage.
Desirable Skills
* Familiarity with cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
* Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations, particularly for payroll systems.
* Understanding of Agile development practices.
* Familiarity with Docker or other containerisation tools.
