Job DescriptionThe Technical Sales Engineer is responsible for developing technical solutions for client bids, maintaining and expanding client relationships, and ensuring the successful delivery of integrated technical proposals. * Degree in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, etc.).
* Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD, Inventor, Solidworks, Draftsight preferred).
* Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
* Strong planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
* Effective communicator with excellent interpersonal and customer-facing abilities.
* Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
* Self-motivated with a proactive attitude and ability to work independently.
Experience:
* Proven experience in a client-focused role within a technical or engineering environment.
* Prior experience preparing technical proposals and business documents.
* Background in the mechanical handling sector or heavy engineering is desirable.

Job Responsibilities
* Develop and nurture relationships with new and existing clients to promote enquiries and maximise sales.
* Interpret client tender documentation and relay key information to internal teams.
* Create initial technical solutions aligned with the company’s service offerings.
* Collaborate with engineering teams to develop execution strategies and technical solutions.
* Coordinate with suppliers to build integrated solutions and evaluate supplier quotations for robustness.
* Manage the full technical proposal process, including preparing accurate and timely submissions.
* Support bid modelling, providing cost estimations and identifying potential scope gaps.
* Act as a technical point of contact and maintain strong client relationships throughout the sales cycle.
* Attend technical meetings with clients and suppliers for clarifications and negotiations.
* Lead technical handover meetings to ensure smooth transition into project delivery.
