We have embarked on a programme to implement a single Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system as part of the NHS digital health ongoing initiative across the Norfolk and Waveney Acute Hospital Collaborative (NWAHC). The collaborative is made up of three acute hospitals in Norfolk and Waveney:
1. James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (JPUH)
2. Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (NNUH)
3. The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHS Foundation Trust (QEH)

Main Duties of the Job
We are seeking a Communications Assistant to work on the collaborative Trusts' EPR programme, helping to showcase to the organisation the benefits of the new EPR system, as well as helping to turn complex information into messaging that is understood by staff, stakeholders, patients, and the public.
This is a busy and varied role, requiring flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task. The job holder must have a range of administrative and IT skills, including knowledge of website and intranet software editing programmes, and be extremely organised.
The role's communication responsibilities include:
* Assisting the EPR Communications Manager in the delivery of key strands of the EPR communications strategy.
* Contributing to all aspects of the EPR Programme's communications.
* Writing content for the dedicated EPR website and keeping pages updated, helping to maintain accurate and timely information for all users.
* Providing communications support for internal and external EPR activities and media queries.

Qualifications Essential
* Significant training or experience of working as part of a professional Communications Team.
Experience Essential
* Significant experience of writing, editing and producing a wide range of communications materials for a range of channels including internal communications, social media, other digital formats and traditional channels.
* Excellent web editing skills, content management skills and internal communications skills.
* Experience of internal and external communications mechanisms.
Desirable
* To have worked within a healthcare environment.
Skills Essential
* Good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
* Skilled at prioritising conflicting deadlines and organising own time accordingly.
