Our stunning new home, Bridgewater Manor, is a purpose-built care home facility located in Worsley Village, Salford. The home is registered to provide care to 71 residents with various needs, including residential and nursing care. It meets all CQC requirements, ensuring the highest standards of safety, comfort, and care. We invest in the latest technology and offer a purposeful programme of daily activities and gentle exercises to enhance residents' wellbeing. All team members are carefully selected for their warmth and passion, undergo full induction, and receive ongoing training from our in-house trainers in conjunction with the New Care Academy.
The home is rated GOOD in all domains by CQC. We have maintained zero agency staff usage for over four years by employing a permanent team to ensure continuity of care with staff who know and residents who trust them. All staff are paid above the national living wage.
We are seeking to appoint a kind, caring, and motivated Team Leader to join our team. You will support the Home Manager and Deputy Home Manager in providing leadership and managing the home effectively 24/7 within available resources. This is a full-time role with an excellent hourly rate of £12.25. Shift times are 07:45-20:00, with alternate weekend working. To apply, you must have experience in medication management and administration.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Promote the highest standard of person-centred clinical nursing care to residents.
2. Manage, allocate duties, and supervise the care team to ensure quality care delivery during your shift.
3. Be a role model demonstrating person-centred care.
4. Take responsibility for safeguarding the welfare of adults under your care or contact.
5. Manage the delivery of personalised care plans during your shift.
6. Support professional standards within the home, assisting the Deputy and Home Manager.
7. Provide supervision, coaching, and assessment to Care Assistants.
8. Ensure effective assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of resident care through written care plans.
9. Maintain accurate records as required by the company and regulatory bodies.
10. Manage daily rotas and delegate workload, ensuring sufficient staffing.
11. Complete new admission files within the first week of admission, involving the named nurse, senior carer, and key worker.
12. Build relationships with external professionals.
13. Assist the home manager in conducting regular quality audits of care plans.
Skills and Experience Required:
* Medication management and administration experience.
* Experience working with older people.
* NVQ Level 2 in Social Care or equivalent.
* NVQ Level 3 in Social Care or equivalent, or achievement of this within the first 12 months of employment.
* Ability to contribute to assessment, planning, and evaluation of care needs of older people.
* Knowledge of the 6 principles of care and their application in residential/nursing settings.
* Good oral and written communication skills.
* Self-motivation and confidence.
