Alzheimer Scotland is Scotland’s national dementia charity. Our aim is to make sure nobody faces dementia alone. We provide support and information to people with dementia, their carers and families, we campaign for the rights of people with dementia and fund vital dementia research.
Driver Role - Renfrewshire Services
What you’ll do
As a Driver within our Renfrewshire services, you will be responsible for transporting people to and from our Day Care service via minibus. This role may involve a number of journeys throughout the day within the local area, picking up and dropping off attendees back to their homes. This role may require a degree of moving and assisting support to help support attendees enter and exit the bus safely.
A critical element of the role includes the responsibility for ensuring the vehicle is in a clean and safe condition, including the completion of regular safety and quality checks.
What you’ll have
The successful candidate will be required to provide a supportive experience during the travel to an Alzheimer Scotland activity. It is essential that the Driver has good communication skills and a caring approach to ensure a welcoming and inclusive approach as a first point of contact with the charity. Experience of working with people living with dementia would be an advantage.
Applicants must have a full and valid driving license with D1 category.
Day Services Manager Role
What you’ll do
As Day Services Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing high-quality, therapeutic registered day services and commissioned and non-commissioned community supports for people with dementia, those at greater risk of dementia, and their families and carers within the area. You will ensure that services are of the highest quality, meet Alzheimer Scotland’s vision for unique therapeutic, highly person-centred support, and comply with all service level agreements and quality guarantees.
You will work collaboratively with the Head of Services to ensure safe practice and delivery of high-quality, person-centred therapeutic day services. This includes evidencing, reviewing, and continually improving the quality of services and participating in internal audits and Care Inspectorate inspections.
What you’ll have
The successful candidate will have experience of managing a team in a social care, health or similar setting, or demonstrate a clear knowledge and understanding of the key principles of effectively managing and leading a team. You will have knowledge of the Health and Social Care Standards and SSSC codes of practice and understanding of dementia, mild cognitive impairment, and Brain Health.
The successful candidate will have a recognised professional qualification in health, social work, or a related field to SCQF Level 7 (SVQ 3).
Delivery Coordinator Role
About the role
This role is part of SAMH's dynamic Fundraising & Income Generation department, responsible for managing and coordinating all enquiries relating to training, workplace wellbeing events, and advisory services. This includes liaising with stakeholders to schedule commissioned workplace products and services and providing administrative support to the Workplace Business Development Manager.

Centre Coordinator Role
What you’ll do
The Centre Coordinator will support the Centre Manager to provide Alzheimer Scotland’s programme of support for people concerned about their brain health or affected by dementia. This includes coordinating volunteers and ensuring a welcoming environment for Centre visitors.
What you’ll have
The successful candidate will have a good understanding and/or experience of working with or supporting people living with dementia and their families, with knowledge of high-quality, evidence-based therapeutic activity.
The successful candidate will have a recognised professional qualification in health, social work, or related field to SCQF Level 6 (SVQ 2).
