Job Overview
As an Electrical Project Manager, you will oversee the successful delivery of capital projects from the initial sales handover through to project commissioning. This role involves managing engineering configurations, ensuring compliance with timelines, budget, and technical specifications, as well as maintaining quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Management:
Collaborate with clients to develop engineering configurations, adapting to evolving project needs.
Manage the entire lifecycle of projects from handover to commissioning, ensuring client satisfaction and adherence to budgets.
Handle technical submissions, contractual deliverables, and project reporting.
Conduct site inspections, coordinate field staff, and ensure Health & Safety compliance on all projects.
Oversee external supply chain management and site installations.
2. Commercial Responsibilities:
Assume P&L responsibility for capital projects, including invoicing forecasts and budget management.
Negotiate and place orders for necessary project equipment and services, ensuring terms are aligned with main contracts.
Track and manage project variations, payments, and financial records to optimize profitability.
Who You’ll Work With
* Internally: Project Managers, CAD Draughtsperson, Health & Safety, Accounts, and Capital Sales teams.
* Externally: Clients, suppliers, contractors, and consultants.
Required Skills & Experience
* Background in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (minimum HNC/HND level).
* Proven experience in project management, site installations, and health & safety practices.
* Strong commercial awareness with financial tracking and reporting experience.
* Excellent organizational and communication skills with a collaborative leadership style.
Work Environment
This position is based in our office in Cirencester, with travel to project sites as needed across the UK and Ireland.
Standard hours are 37.5 per week with flexible start/finish times, no weekend work, and occasional overnight stays if required.
Compensation & Benefits
Starting salary: £55,000
