Our stunning Earlsdon Park Retirement Village based in Coventry are seeking a Chef to join the team on a part time, permanent basis. Our Chefs are essential in providing an exceptional and high-quality dining experience for both residents and visitors to the village. You will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, which will encompass the planning, preparation, and serving of nutritious, home-cooked traditional English cuisine, along with the occasional themed menu. Our Bistro can accommodate up to 100 guests with our busiest day being a Sunday where we will see between 80-100 covers for our Carvery option. The Role Chef 26.5 hours per week (3 x 7.5-hour shifts per week on a rota basis and 1x 4 hours shift every Friday) £17,390 per annum (£12.60 per hour) Earlsdon Park Village, Albany Road, Coventry, CV5 6JQ Job Specification Plan, prepare and serve homemade traditional meals. Offer residents and excellent choice of meals that provide good nutritional value. Assist with all kitchen duties ensuring HACCP is followed. Ensure menus are prepared withing budget. Be committed to always provide the highest standards of hygiene. About You You will be dedicated to delivering an exceptional dining experience for both residents and visitors to the village. Being friendly and easy to talk to is essential as you will need to communicate well with your colleagues and our residents. Experience working in a similar environment. Qualified to QFC/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent. Previous experience of budgeting. Possess high kitchen standards. Happy to have a presence front of house.
