Your Role
As a Business Development Manager, you will be the face of Radio News Hub within your patch, building strong relationships and driving commercial success. You’ll work closely with media agencies & brands to expand our reach and maximise revenue opportunities. North & South UK opportunities available.
This role is perfect for someone who is proactive, strategic, and passionate about radio, media, podcasts and digital content. You’ll play a key role in spotting new opportunities, and ensuring Radio News Hub remains a top choice for agencies & advertisers in the UK and worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement a sales strategy to increase market share and revenue growth.
2. Build and nurture strong relationships with media agencies and brands.
3. Identify and capitalise on new business opportunities within the radio and digital audio landscape.
4. Own your patch (North UK or South UK), ensuring regular engagement with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
5. Collaborate with internal teams to deliver creative and customised solutions for clients.
6. Stay ahead of industry trends, competitive activities, and market shifts to refine sales strategies.
7. Provide regular reporting on sales performance, progress against targets, and growth opportunities.
8. Work closely with the commercial director, editorial, and production teams to align sales efforts with content strategy.

What You’ll Need
1. Proven media sales experience, ideally in radio or digital audio.
2. Strong network of contacts to enable you to hit the ground running.
3. Desire to work towards a sales target with a passion for generating business.
4. Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
5. A proactive and strategic approach to sales and business development.
6. Understanding of the UK media marketplace and the role of audio & digital channels.
7. Ability to work autonomously while collaborating with internal teams.
