Behavioural Support Worker Required in Bournemouth!
Are you passionate about making a positive impact on students' behaviour and well-being? A local secondary school in Bournemouth is seeking a dedicated Behavioural Support Worker to join their team to support students' social and emotional development.
Responsibilities:
* Assist in the implementation of behaviour support plans (BSPs) developed by teachers and SENCO, ensuring consistency and effectiveness in managing challenging behaviours.
* Offer one-on-one or small group support to students with behavioural challenges, helping them understand and manage their emotions and behaviours in various settings.
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment by promoting and reinforcing positive behaviour and social skills among students.
* Collaborate with teaching staff, SENCO, and external professionals to develop and review behaviour intervention strategies tailored to individual student needs.
* Monitor student behaviour and progress, maintain accurate records, and provide feedback to teachers and parents/guardians as necessary.
* Assist teachers in maintaining a productive learning environment by implementing proactive strategies and supporting during lessons.
Qualifications:
* Experience working with students with behavioural challenges in educational or similar settings.
* Understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies.
* Empathy, patience, and resilience to support students effectively in managing their behaviour and emotions.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with students, staff, and parents/guardians.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, contributing to a positive school community.
