Role
The Global Contracts and Programmes Manager oversees complex portfolios of contracts that deliver services to key global customers. They will be the customer's main point of contact while managing, coordinating, and communicating with service and sales teams. They are responsible for ensuring contracts are delivered on time and within budget, that committed margins are achieved and exceeded, business through those contracts grows, contract renewals are captured and improved upon, opportunities are identified and captured, risk is managed and appropriately flowed into the supply chain, and that customer expectations are met or exceeded at every stage.
This specific role manages our portfolio of defence contracts delivered via our Service depot in Hemel Hempstead, so it's essential that you are eligible to obtain UK SC clearance for this role - we are unable to sponsor.
SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
* Oversee all aspects of commercial performance and financial management of programmes and contracts including revenue management, demand planning forecasts, budgets, cost management, and profit improvement.
* Develop detailed understanding of contracts and inform decision making to optimise the performance, cost, and profitability of the contract.
* Establish suitable KPIs including revenue, cost, margin, delivery performance, and customer satisfaction.
* Analyse, track, and monitor contract and business performance in accordance with customer and internal business requirements and prepare monthly reports.
* Produce plans and programme schedules for the timing and execution of the contracts including installs, maintenance, machine movements, inspections, depot repairs, upgrades, replacement, engineering changes, and obsolescence management projects and co-ordinate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver.
* Ensure delivery to contract including service delivery, invoicing, and payment in accordance with internal and external expectations, within time and budget constraints.
* Partner with respective internal stakeholders to address gaps and escalations in a timely fashion.
* Establish working arrangements with subcontractors and oversee any unique to contract subcontractor/service vendor deliverables, sub-contracts, and flow down.
* Conduct regular contract review meetings with customers and action as required.
* Work with internal stakeholders to create and deliver improvements to contracts, opportunities to reduce costs, and implement programs to create efficiencies.
* Analyse and track all contract risks, mitigate, flow down, and escalate as appropriate. Track and monitor penalties and other contract non-performance, lead initiatives to mitigate and negotiate with customers as applicable.
* Manage contract changes, renewals, and renegotiations, draft and implement amendments, working within delegated authorities and operate business approvals processes.
* Co-ordinate contract launch, review, and closure.
* Identify and develop costed proposals for incremental business opportunities for the contracts and portfolio, work with sales teams to capture.
* Manage projects to develop global customer/strategic partner offerings and global framework agreements.
* Manage contract data and contribute to account plans, business forecasting, and demand planning processes.
* Lead and contribute to functional development projects, tools, and processes.
Education/Training:
* Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
* Programme Management Qualification desirable.
Experience:
* Contract delivery, service delivery, programme management, and commercial management specifically within Aerospace/Aviation or Defence related companies.
* Management and optimisation of significant £m contracts for service, delivery of contract improvements.
* Maintenance, repair, and overhaul business.
* Drafting business proposals and contract amendments, costing.
