Job Overview
A school in Kent is looking for a passionate and experienced Nursery Nurse to join a fantastic and inclusive school in Lambeth to work with early years (EYFS) students with severe learning difficulties and ASD. You will provide one-on-one support, helping students engage with their learning and develop independence through play-based learning. * Support and training are offered every week to further develop your knowledge and skills as a teaching assistant for children with varied needs.
* You will be working with skilled Teachers and other Nursery Nurses in a classroom environment.
Responsibilities
* Work with class teachers to raise the learning of pupils.
* Promote pupil's independence, self-esteem, and social inclusion.
* Provide support to pupils, individually or in groups, to help them access the curriculum and experience a sense of achievement.
* Assist with planning, preparation, and resourcing for lessons that promote play-based learning both indoors and outdoors.
* Facilitate inclusion by encouraging participation of all pupils in learning and extracurricular activities.
* Use effective behaviour management strategies consistently in line with the school's policy and procedures.
* Organise and manage teaching space and resources to maintain a stimulating and safe learning environment.
* Support with personal care when needed with other staff members.
