TTM Healthcare Solutions (TTM) have partnered with a leading organisation to hire Band 2 and 3 Healthcare Assistants based in Belfast for agency work. Flexibility is required for shift coverage with a focus on those who can work DAY shifts between the hours of 7am and 8pm. As a Healthcare Assistant in the Emergency Department, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent care to patients who require urgent and emergency treatment. You will be responsible for assisting with patient assessments, supporting clinical staff, and maintaining a high standard of care for patients in a variety of urgent situations.

Responsibilities:
1. Provide compassionate assistance to patients with their daily needs.
2. Aid patients' mobility, ensuring they feel safe and confident.
3. Monitor patients' vital signs, report any changes or concerns to the nursing or medical team, and assist in the collection of patient samples (e.g., urine, blood).
4. Be a friendly presence, offering emotional support.
5. Ensure that the environment is clean, tidy, and safe, and assist with infection control procedures in line with hospital policies.
6. Respond promptly and efficiently to emergency situations, following instructions from senior clinical staff.
Requirements:
1. NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Health and Social Care is desirable.
2. At least 6 months of recent, relevant experience working within a UK healthcare setting, ideally in an emergency department or acute care setting.
3. Evidence of full immunity to Hepatitis B, MMR, Tuberculosis & Varicella.
4. Right to work in Northern Ireland without restriction. Unfortunately, we cannot offer sponsorship for this role.
5. Ability to demonstrate compassion and empathy towards others.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
