The School and Role:
This small, SEMH (Social Emotional and Mental Health needs) School, based in Leeds are looking to appoint a passionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to work with pupils aged 5-11 on a Full-Time basis. Working in this SEMH School as part of an established team, the desired Behaviour Support Worker will be working on a small group basis in KS1- KS2 with pupils with SEMH. This will require working with pupils on their education whilst also working with them on their behavioural needs. Team Teach training can be provided for the correct candidate. This school is great for job progression as the school is always keen to help Teaching Assistant s progress in their career and work within the school. This Full-Time role is long term and potentially permanent if successful.
Requirements:
The desired SEMH Teaching Assistant will have;
* A passion for working with children with additional needs
* Experience of working with children and young adults with challenging behaviour previously
* Understanding of how to work with children with SEMH whilst focusing on both there educational and additional needs.
* A passion for the progress of children with SEMH needs
* An ability to work as part of a team
