Salary: Up to £25,000 per annum dependent upon experience
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 4.30pm, 35 hours per week
Location: Dinnington, Sheffield, S25 3QU
What can you expect?
You will play a pivotal role in optimising the company's supply chain operations to ensure seamless procurement, production, and distribution of goods and services. Training can be provided.
This may include:
* Working with colleagues and the Purchasing & Supply Chain Manager to implement procurement policies
* Maintaining supplier relationships, with good customer service skills
* Monitoring vendor performance, and ensuring adherence to the companies policies and standards
* Tracking progress and order requests, including margin analysis and identifying the most cost-effective option and work which can be conducted in-house
* Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimised stock levels and minimise carrying costs
* Coordinate with production, engineering, and logistics teams to ensure timely replenishment of inventory while avoiding stockouts and excessive inventory situations
* Implement inventory management best practices and technology solutions to enhance accuracy, visibility, and traceability across the supply chain
* Identify potential risks within the supply chain such as supplier disruptions, quality issues, and market volatility
* Identify process enhancements, automation initiatives, and performance metrics to drive operational excellence
Requirements
What do I need?
* Ideally you will have experience in supply chain, or procurement roles, however training will be given
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
* Microsoft office and excel skills are essential
* Demonstrate ability to work independently or as part of a team, prioritise tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
