An exciting opportunity has now arisen and we are in the position to recruit a Ward Manager to be part of adynamic, multi-disciplinary team working at our older adult inpatient ward based at Thurrock Community Hospital.
Meadowview inpatient facility provides care to older people, over the agency of 65, suffering from mental health problems where the problems are deemed to be such that admission to hospital is the only safe option.
The post holder will be responsible to the Matron and is required to undertake duties without direct supervision. Assessment of care development, implementation, and evaluation of programmes of care for clients with mental health needs is an integral part of practice at all times. In line with contemporaneous practice, integration between the Ward Team, the Home Treatment Team and Community Mental Health Teams being is an essential part of practice that the post holder will uphold these principles.

Here at EPUT we maintain our own bank of specialist staff to ensure that we are able offer safe and effective care at all times.
All our permanent staff are automatically enrolled onto the staff bank however this does not mean you have to work any additional shifts, but the option is there for you if you wish.

The post holder is responsible for the overseeing of assessments of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care for clients with mental health needs.
Participation and planning for the training and education needs of all staff including students/learners and new staff allocated to the Ward will be upheld and disseminated in a manner conducive to the ward.
