6. Collaborating with Staff: Work closely with teachers, special educational needs coordinators (SENCO), and other professionals to develop and implement tailored learning plans for students.
7. Supporting Emotional Well-being: Offer emotional support to children who have experienced trauma or difficult life situations, ensuring they feel understood and cared for.
Who We're Looking For:
1. Resilience and Patience: You will need to remain calm and composed in challenging situations, as well as show empathy for students who may struggle to regulate their emotions.
2. Passion for Education: A strong commitment to helping vulnerable children overcome obstacles to learning and achieve their full potential.
3. Experience Working with Vulnerable Children: Experience working with children who have social, emotional, or behavioural difficulties, or experience in similar settings (e.g., foster care, youth work, support work) is preferred but not essential.
4. Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with children, teachers, and parents, and to work as part of a collaborative team.
5. Consistency: Ability to provide a stable and predictable presence for children who may be dealing with unpredictable or traumatic life events.
What We Offer:
1. The opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children who need support the most.
2. A supportive and nurturing school environment where your work is valued and appreciated.
3. Professional development opportunities to grow in your role and pursue further training.
4. A chance to work with a passionate team dedicated to positive change.
