We are looking for a dedicated Intervention Tutor to provide high-quality support to GCSE students in Maths, English, or Science at a secondary school in Tameside. This position is ideal for a qualified teacher, tutor, or experienced educator who is passionate about helping students close learning gaps and achieve their academic potential. The role offers the opportunity to deliver targeted interventions, ensuring that students receive the additional support they need to succeed in their exams.

Location: Tameside
Salary: £25-£35 per hour (dependent on experience)
Responsibilities:
* Deliver tailored tuition to students in small groups or on a 1:1 basis, addressing specific gaps in knowledge in Maths, English, or Science
* Collaborate with classroom teachers to ensure that your tuition complements and supports the school's overall curriculum and classroom teaching
* Create individualised learning plans for students based on their strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles
* Provide regular feedback on students' progress to teachers, parents, and the school's leadership team, ensuring alignment with the school's educational objectives
* Support students in exam preparation by teaching revision techniques, study skills, and providing practice exercises to build confidence and reduce exam anxiety
* Monitor student progress using assessments, quizzes, and informal checks to ensure that tuition is having a measurable impact
* Support students with motivational strategies to help them remain engaged and focused on their studies
Requirements:
* Strong subject knowledge in Maths, English, or Science, ideally to GCSE level, with a deep understanding of the exam specifications
* Previous experience in tutoring or teaching in a secondary school environment, preferably at GCSE level
* Excellent communication skills to explain complex concepts in simple, accessible terms
* Ability to tailor lessons and adjust teaching styles to meet the individual needs of students
* Experience with differentiation strategies to ensure all students are fully engaged and progressing
* A patient, encouraging approach to support students' learning
