Parkinson Lee Executive Search are currently working with a world leading engineering services business, delivering high profile projects for global clients in the appointment of a Project Control Manager. Our client specialises in complex, safety critical project delivery, driving innovation and excellence in engineering.
This Project Control Manager will lead and manage project control functions across major engineering projects. It is a key leadership role and will be responsible for the successful delivery of projects, optimising cost, schedule and risk management.
Key responsibilities include:
* Develop and implement robust project control processes, including scheduling, cost control, risk management, and performance reporting
* Ensure project timelines, budgets, and resources are effectively managed to meet client expectations and regulatory requirements
* Identify, assess, and mitigate risks, proactively addressing changes that could impact project success
* Oversee earned value management (EVM) and ensure accurate forecasting, reporting, and variance analysis
* Work closely with project managers, engineers, and senior stakeholders to drive informed decision-making and project optimization
* Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies
* Lead, mentor, and develop a team of project control professionals to enhance capability and performance
Key Requirements:
* Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field; professional certifications (APM, PMP, or equivalent) are highly desirable
* Proven experience as a Project Controls Manager in highly regulated industry (e.g., nuclear, energy, infrastructure)
* Strong expertise in cost control, scheduling (Primavera P6), risk management, and earned value management (EVM)
* Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
* A deep understanding of industry standards, governance, and regulatory requirements
