An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 6 Healthcare Scientist to join our established team of Healthcare Scientists at UHNM.
Main duties of the job
This role will involve contributing to the wider band 6 duties in the department including hemodynamic monitoring during cardiac catheterisation for both elective & emergency procedures. The successful candidate will also be expected to lead exercise tests, head up tilt table tests & provide advanced arrhythmia analysis for implantable loop recorders, holter monitors (3 & 12 lead), event recorder devices & 12 lead ECG. Additionally, there is an expectation that the successful candidate will support the departmental on call service for primary percutaneous coronary intervention. There will be opportunities for the right candidate to advance their skills in either cardiac rhythm management or echocardiography. The echocardiography department provides c24,000 studies per year. There are well established physiologist led services within echo, including stress echo, TOE, Contrast, Herceptin Clinics and Heart valve surveillance clinics. The pacing and EP services provide complex and simple device implant and follow-up and a full range of EP studies including complex 3D mapping.

* Bsc (hons) or equivalent in Cardiac Science
* HCPC / AHCS professional registration
Experience
* Post graduate experience in ECG analysis and reporting
* Experience in the application or implementation of quality procedures
