The Company A Construction & Civil Engineering company which has been operating for over 20 years. They operate across the UK. Due to the company's latest win on a highways contract, they are looking to bring in quality personal. The Project As an experienced Project Manager, you will be working on a highways structures schemes in the south of England. You will lead the project from inception to completion and ensure that all works are completed to specification, in budget and on time. You will also manage direct labour and any contractors whilst being based on site to ensure all Health and Safety regulations are adhered to. Requirements For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional requirements as a minimum; SMSTS CSCS Black Card Degree in a Civil Engineering / Construction related discipline (is ideal) Experienced as a Project Manager on large Civils projects (including bridges & structures, heavy civils, groundworks, highways, water etc) It is also essential that you hold the experience below; Previous experience as a Project Manager on Highways schemes 4 years experience as a Project Manager in the Civils & Highways The Role Job Title: Project Manager Location: South East England Projects: Highways Structure Schemes Duties Pre-contract planning and liaison with estimators Planning, programming, and resourcing contracts Identifying tender and other financial opportunities Delegating duties to engineering and contracts staff Identifying, evaluating, and managing claims and variations Accepting, approving, and issuing contracts and subcontracts Compiling applications for payment and agreeing final accounts Providing quality input to regional management and planning meetings Managing projects to achieve financial, safety, quality, and environmental targets Completing monthly improvement plan reviews with Bid and Pre - construction specialists Monitor, review, issue and update subcontract liabilities, applications and payments Assist with supply chain (suppliers & subcontractor) approvals, assessments, and performance reviews Liaising, negotiating, and meeting with clients, consulting engineers, surveyors, sub-contractors and others Compiling contract plans, safety plans, method statements, risk assessments and other instructions to contract teams This is a Permanent position with a competitive salary on offer for the successful candidate.
