About the role A Permanent full-time position is available. The position provides a single point of contact and liaison for all Roads Act related works and functions within the Council Road Reserve. They will act as an escalation point for Asset Officers providing direction of maintenance repairs of Assets and Council infrastructure. They will conduct assessments of Roads Act Permit applications inspect and manage associated applications in relation to construction/development works. They will conduct routine maintenance inspections and assess the condition of Council infrastructure assets including the provision of data, information and support, the operation of technology and systems, and assisting with customer enquiries. They will liaise with key stakeholders for provisions of maintenance of infrastructure works and any restoration of damaged public assets and non-compliant works. Essential criteria Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or extensive experience in a relevant field. Demonstrated experience in road and drainage asset related inspections and effective preparation of correspondence to customers or internal departments Demonstrated experience in road and drainage asset maintenance, intervention level defect identification and repairs Demonstrated experience working with Statutory Authorities Effectively manage customer expectations and demonstrated dispute resolution and negotiation skills Previous local government experience Experience in working with asset management systems and software A current Class C Drivers Licence Salary: The salary for this position ranges from $90,063.00 - $104,251.00 per annum, plus 11.5% Superannuation, and will be negotiated commensurate with the skills, qualifications and experience of the preferred applicant.
