Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced pharmacy assistant with a flexible working approach to deliver a high-quality patient-focused pharmacy service. You must be able to demonstrate good communication and organisational skills, working independently and as part of a team. You will be involved in maintaining the Pharmacy Service to wards and departments on a rotational basis.
It is expected that the successful candidates will undertake in depth level 2 training in Pharmacy services unless they already hold a relevant qualification.
Applicants should also have a minimum of 2 GCSE's grade C or above (or equivalent), to include Maths and English Language. Functional skills level 2 in Maths and English are also accepted. Certificates will be requested at interview.

Main duties of the job:
1. Working on reception, taking in prescriptions and booking them onto our pharmacy tracking system
2. Always maintain good customer services skills
3. Answer the telephone and refer clinical queries to the appropriate trained staff member
4. To interpret and accurately dispense prescriptions and requests for medication
5. To participate in stock supply to wards and departments and re-order as necessary
6. To receive goods into the department, unpack, check and put away deliveries against relevant paperwork
7. Working as part of a team
8. Assist in the delivery of dispensed items to the wards and departments
