Responsibilities
* Champion Digital Transformation: be the agency’s senior authority on developing and driving digital capability frameworks, ensuring digital transformation remains central to the agency’s vision.
* Collaborate at the Highest Levels: Work closely with the Managing Partner of Advanced Solutions and other senior leads in the agency, providing guidance on the agency’s digital capability development approach, innovation roadmap, and partner solutions / enablement approach.
* Influence & Gravitas: Bring a commanding presence to internal and external engagements—supporting cross-functional alignment, advocating for digital-first thinking, and inspiring teams to push boundaries.
People & Culture
* Lead the Digital Development Team: Line manage and mentor a group of seasoned Digital Development Consultants, each functioning as a trusted advisor for their clients. Instil best practices, foster collaboration, and celebrate innovation within the team.
* Drive a Test & Learn Mindset: Promote an environment where experimentation (A/B testing, pilot programs, emerging platforms, AI applications) is encouraged, and data-driven insights guide continuous improvements.
* Empower Skills Growth: Provide structured development plans and learning pathways, ensuring the team stays at the forefront of digital technology trends, media formats, and partner platforms.
Clients
* Elevate Client Capabilities: Strategically assess clients’ current digital capabilities, identifying gaps in tools, technology, data, and measurement. Recommend and implement capability-building initiatives that align with their business objectives.
* Trusted Senior Advisor: Directly engage with senior clients, offering thought leadership on efficiency-driving media capabilities and solutions, AI use cases, innovation roadmaps, and process improvements.
* Foster Tangible Impact: Translate digital transformation initiatives into measurable outcomes—such as ROI uplifts, incremental sales, or improved media efficiencies.
The Work
* Structure the Connected Performance Relationship: Forge a critical working relationship with the agency’s Connected Performance team, ensuring clear roles, processes, and collaboration models to embed newly developed capabilities into day-to-day media planning and buying.
* Build & Standardise Frameworks: Establish and maintain a proprietary digital capability development methodology—one that systematically evaluates a client’s digital readiness versus objectives and outlines structured plans for bridging gaps.
* Champion Innovation & Emerging Tech: Spearhead AI, automation, advanced data uses, and measurement initiatives to keep clients (and the agency) on the cutting edge of digital marketing.
Commercials
* Revenue-Generating Projects: While not directly accountable for a formal revenue target, actively identify and drive opportunities that generate incremental revenue streams—e.g., new consulting engagements, technology partnerships, or expanded client scopes.
* Optimise Resource Utilisation: Work with finance and operations teams to ensure digital development initiatives are efficiently resourced and deliver strong ROI for both the client and the agency.
* Contribute to Profitability: Through careful planning, thoughtful solution design, and strategic vendor negotiations, help maintain healthy margins on digital development projects.
New Business
* Support New Business Efforts: Partner with the Managing Partner of Advanced Solutions and New Business & Marketing teams to showcase the agency’s digital transformation credentials. Provide input on pitch materials and solution proposals, focusing on group and partner capabilities.
* Industry Thought Leadership: Represent the agency at conferences, industry events, and in PR activities. Demonstrate the agency’s cutting-edge approaches through speaking engagements, white papers, and award submissions.
* Methodical Approach: Present the agency’s structured, proprietary development methodology to prospective clients, highlighting its ability to deliver tangible marketing and business results.
Organic Growth
* Expand Existing Client Engagements: Leverage proven success in digital transformation to cross-sell new capabilities and programs. Collaborate with Connected Performance and other practice areas to identify joint opportunities.
* Sustain Momentum: Monitor client progress post-implementation; propose refinements and additional services that keep their digital evolution on track.
* Build Multi-Year Partnerships: Evolve short-term projects into long-term strategic partnerships, cementing the agency as a go-to partner for ongoing digital development.
