Job Title: Electrical Engineering Manager
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Manager to lead a team of 15-20 electricians in supporting solar panel maintenance, ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety across engineering projects.
Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 + Package (Car allowance/Vehicle)
Role Overview
This is a key leadership role offering a unique opportunity to make a substantial impact on a growing solar operations and maintenance company.
Responsibilities
* Team Leadership:
o Lead and develop a team of 15-20 electricians, fostering a culture of transparency, accountability, and high-quality work.
o Partner closely with the Operations Director, Managing Director, and HR Director to align team goals and meet stakeholder needs.
o Guide and support engineers, including new team members, on all site-related activities and ensure consistent standards are met across projects.
* Operational Oversight:
o Monitor projects, ensuring job quality, client satisfaction, and adherence to safety standards.
o Be a critical voice on project progress, identifying areas of success and improvement while protecting the company's license to operate.
o Responsible for overseeing the maintenance of all solar panels and managing associated cost streams.
* Growth and Process Development:
o Play a vital role in the growth of the business, helping transition it from a small to mid-sized company with a focus on solar expertise.
o Build and implement processes around Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) compliance, governance, and operational excellence.
o Serve as a cultural champion, promoting trust, transparency, and emotional intelligence within the team and with stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience in an Electrical engineering management/Supervisor role
* Strong understanding of HSE standards and governance, with experience in creating scalable processes.
* Proven track record of successfully leading teams through change and growth phases.
* Excellent soft skills with the ability to build trust and manage stakeholder expectations constructively.
