Thriving multi-academy trust in Bury is seeking an IT Project Manager for a newly created permanent position.

It is a very exciting time for this multi-academy trust, as they are experiencing a huge period of growth, increasing from 10 schools through to 60 over the coming years and therefore, creating new vacancies in the trust. With a head office in Bury, the trust has an excellent reputation in the Greater Manchester area, having recently moved into new offices due to growth and with further plans for expansion.
Your new role
Reporting to the Head of IT, the Trust IT Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of integration projects, from initial market research to implementation, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s wider IT strategy. The successful Project Manager will manage multiple projects concurrently, liaising with various department leaders and external parties. Responsibilities include leading the end-to-end project management process, risk management, and completing all project documentation, such as timelines, deliverables, and budget tracking. This newly created role offers the opportunity to develop and grow with the trust.
What you’ll need to succeed
To be successful in this position, you must possess significant project management experience managing the full project lifecycle. Experience with various IT platforms and systems relating to HR, health and safety, compliance, and estate management is ideal. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for liaising with both internal and external parties. A PMP, Prince2, or equivalent project management certificate would be beneficial, and experience or a passion for the education sector is essential.
