Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a clinical research specialist nurse to support our Bronchiectasis research portfolio within the All-Wales Adult Cystic Fibrosis Unit and CVUHB Research Delivery Team. The post holder will be working closely with our Cystic Fibrosis research team, primarily supporting an expanding portfolio of bronchiectasis clinical studies, whilst also having involvement in the cystic fibrosis portfolio. The post holder will be required to lead on their own allocation of clinical studies, under the direction of the Research Team lead, working closely with the multi-professional team involved in the care of patients with bronchiectasis and cystic fibrosis, and the wider research delivery teams.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Registered nurse/current registration with NMC
* Evidence of continued professional development
* Specialist knowledge of research legislation, GCP and National Framework or equivalent demonstrable knowledge within a required disease site (i.e Bronchiectasis and/or cystic fibrosis)
* Knowledge of clinical and research terminology
* Ability to make independent decisions and advise others on appropriate actions
Experience
* Evidence of previous patient and multi-disciplinary team contact within work environment
* Experience of undertaking clinical research and/or extensive clinical experience within a specific area
* Project management
Skills/Qualities
* Positive attitude and respect for others
* Drive, enthusiasm and commitment to the organisation
* Ability to communicate complex information to patients/carers/members of the MDT
* Team player, whilst also possessing the ability to work independently
