About The Role
This is a brilliant, newly created work role located at our head office in Bradford, West Yorkshire. In the role of Designer you will sit as part of the Communications and Events team, which is part of the People team. You’ll report to the Communications Manager.
Your primary responsibility is to understand design briefs, design print and digital content, follow the sign off journey before packaging them ready to either use digitally or for printing. You’ll create engaging content for our internal communications channels, producing quality content which engages our audience, adheres to UX and design best practices and complies with the digital brand guidelines. You will also work with the wider People team to help support other requests.
Working closely with a variety of stakeholders, you will create digital and printable content for our colleagues within a fast paced environment with multiple projects in flight at a time.
Key responsibilities in this exciting, newly established position include:
* Developing creative content across internal websites, emails, posters, social media and print
* Creative that’s engaging, inspires the desired action and is on brand resulting in increased colleague engagement
* Effectively conveying changes within the business to support colleague engagement and understanding
* Applying best practice and UX methodologies to all creative output
* Implement UX best practice within your work to enhance customer experience
* Digital design, creative and UX knowledge
* You will have excellent creative ability and attention to detail
* Responsible for meeting deadlines and time keeping whilst working under pressure
* Ensure adherence to design guidelines and creative best practice
* Working within existing templates and guidelines where possible to streamline production processes and drive efficiency
* Able to work closely with all stakeholders to ensure briefs are met
* Concept / ideation and design experience to ensure our business messages are communicated clearly and in a style that our colleagues will find easy to digest
* Ensuring message consistency with Morrisons priorities, tone of voice, and brand
* You will have worked, or be currently working in a designing role with experience of delivering dynamic, engaging designs using Adobe and Canva
This is a hybrid role operating over a four and a half day working week* with a minimum of three days in the office (depending on equipment available remotely).
This role is based at our fantastic head office in Bradford. Boasting an on-site restaurant, coffee shop, convenience and sample store, prayer room, free parking and regular company-wide events and promotions. Ideally, applicants will live within a reasonable distance of our office.

Additional considerations:
* As ever in a designer role, you will need to have strong creative skills, an ability to manage a number of projects simultaneously and an ability to work within brand guidelines
* You'll have the ability to develop clear and effective content that enables colleagues understanding and supports engagement. As part of this you will need to be self motivated and persistent, and support an environment where everyone feels valued and listened to
* You will have a strong understanding of different audiences, and how best to utilise the different channels
