General Practitioner with Extended Role in Child and Adolescent Mental Health
The Children and Young Peoples Mental Health Service (CAMHS) Sussex have an exciting opportunity for a permanent Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) GP with Extended Role (GpwER) to join their Horsham based team. This role is integral in prioritising the delivery of a safe, effective, and caring service to young people (0-18 yrs) with Mental Health Difficulties and their families/carers within Sussex.

This post is based in the North West Sussex CAMHS team.
You will provide high-quality specialist clinical assessments, including relevant psychiatric and physical investigations to children, young people, and their families in a range of settings. You will work collaboratively with other members of the team to plan and deliver appropriate individually tailored treatment plans.
You will be part of a friendly and supportive multidisciplinary team which includes nurses, clinical psychologists, OTs, systemic family therapists, and child psychotherapists. This post will work alongside Consultants and Specialty Doctors who work in Sussex ChYPS. You will also be part of a Trust-wide consultant network where there are opportunities to liaise with colleagues in other posts throughout the Trust and develop peer networks. Regular division meetings and clinical governance meetings will allow you to connect with consultant peers.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide safe, high quality, cost-effective, and evidence-based care for Child and Adolescent mental health patients in secondary care.
2. Undertake assessments and reviews of new and follow-up patients in Child and Adolescent Mental Health services.
