Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with expertise in Operational Technology (OT) and Cybersecurity within the heavy asset sector (e.g., utilities, oil & gas, mining, manufacturing, transportation). This role will lead projects focused on OT security, risk mitigation, compliance, and secure integration of industrial control systems (ICS), SCADA, and IoT. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, cybersecurity frameworks, and OT systems, ensuring the successful delivery of security initiatives while maintaining business continuity. Key Responsibilities: Project Management & Delivery - Lead OT cybersecurity projects, including system upgrades, risk mitigation initiatives, and compliance programs. - Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, risk assessments, and resource allocation. - Coordinate cross-functional teams, including IT, OT, security, operations, and external vendors, to ensure project success. - Ensure that cybersecurity controls and risk management strategies are implemented in OT environments while minimizing operational disruptions. OT Security & Risk Management - Oversee the deployment of SCADA, ICS, PLC, and IoT security solutions within industrial networks. - Manage network segmentation, access control, threat detection, and incident response plans for OT environments. - Ensure alignment with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST CSF, IEC 62443, NERC CIP, ISO 27001, and CISA guidelines. - Work closely with cybersecurity and operations teams to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities in OT infrastructure. Compliance & Governance - Lead OT security compliance efforts, ensuring adherence to industry regulations and cybersecurity best practices. - Oversee audits, penetration testing, and security assessments for critical infrastructure protection. - Develop policies and procedures to enhance cybersecurity posture across OT environments. - Work with regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with industry standards. Stakeholder Engagement & Change Management - Act as a liaison between cybersecurity teams, IT, OT, and executive leadership, ensuring alignment on security initiatives. - Develop and implement training and awareness programs to promote cybersecurity best practices across OT environments. - Drive change management efforts to integrate cybersecurity policies into existing operational processes. - Provide regular project updates, risk reports, and recommendations to senior leadership and key stakeholders. Desirable skills and experience - Strong project management experience in OT, cybersecurity, or industrial automation within heavy asset industries. - Strong knowledge of SCADA, ICS, PLC, DCS, and industrial networking protocols (Modbus, DNP3, OPC, etc.). - Experience implementing cybersecurity controls, risk management, and regulatory compliance in OT environments. - Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid). - Familiarity with SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, zero-trust architecture, and endpoint security. - Strong stakeholder management, communication, and risk assessment skills. Preferred: - PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile (CSM, SAFe) certification. - Cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GICSP, or ISA/IEC 62443. - Experience with secure remote access, IAM, and anomaly detection for OT environments. - Knowledge of cloud security, AI/ML-driven threat detection, and industrial cybersecurity trends.
