Job Description
Reporting to the Operations Director, you will work with a small in-house team and be expected to manage your own workload, time and deadlines.
You will play a key role in promoting our legal services across our offices in Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop targeted advertising/sponsorship and marketing campaigns for the firm’s various practice areas, aligning them with both business objectives and firm-wide strategy.
2. Support the design and production of legal marketing and communications materials, ensuring consistent house style, branding and layout.
3. Produce in-house newsletters to keep colleagues informed and engaged.
4. Manage relationships with external agencies.
5. Provide and approve content for social media channels.
6. Create and distribute client e-newsletters/e-briefings, keeping our clients informed about legal updates and firm news.
7. Monitor competitors’ online activity and industry trends within the Scottish legal sector to optimise our marketing efforts.
8. Manage online content and further develop the firm’s website and digital assets, ensuring they reflect our legal expertise and support our growth strategy.
9. Ensure adherence to the firm’s social media policy and report any breaches.
10. Measure and report on digital performance in relation to client engagement and lead generation.
11. Take a key role in organising and managing logistics for seminars, conferences, and events, including coordinating venue arrangements, managing schedules, and overseeing any set up and breakdown of marketing displays.
Skills & Qualifications Required
1. Degree in Marketing or Digital Marketing
2. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a marketing role, ideally within the legal or professional services sector, with a solid understanding of digital marketing principles and best practices.
3. Excellent copywriting and proofreading skills, particularly in relation to legal content.
4. Highly analytical, with experience in creating digital campaigns that engage, inform and generate positive results.
5. Proficient in using marketing tools, including Google Analytics, social media platforms and tools like Hootsuite.
6. Excellent organisational skills and time management.
7. Ability to manage workload independently and meet deadlines.
8. Confident verbal and written communication skills.
9. Fast, enthusiastic learner with excellent attention to detail.
Advantageous:
1. Skilled in using creative software, particularly for the creation of legal content, including images, videos and podcasts.
2. Experience working with or managing relationships with media outlets, particularly those specialising in legal news.
