Role: IT Support Engineer
Location: London – hybrid working
Salary: £30,000 - 35,000 + benefits
We have a great opportunity with one of our financial services clients looking for an IT Support Engineer to provide 1st and 2nd line support across their IT environment.
You’ll support both software and hardware, including operating systems and application software, alongside telephony/mobile support. You’ll provide end-user assistance as needed and troubleshoot both remotely and onsite, providing timely and efficient support.
Job description:
* Log and respond to Help Desk requests, ensuring timely resolution or escalation as needed
* Assist with the setup, deployment, maintenance, and repair of laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and related hardware
* Apply knowledge of networking fundamentals
* Resolve issues with end-user workstation applications
* Provide support for Microsoft Office, bespoke applications and Active Directory administration
* Support mobile devices via MDM (iPhones, iPads)
* Manage the company’s IP phone systems
* Maintain procedures for logging, reporting, and monitoring tech-related activities
* Develop and manage inventories of hardware, software, and other equipment
* Coordinate with third-party support and vendors as needed
* Provide technical support for IT infrastructure projects
Experience required:
* Relevant previous experience in an IT support role, providing on-site and remote support, ideally within mid-sized organisations and within a blue clip environment
* Microsoft Office & Windows desktop environment experience, including with Windows 10/11, Exchange, O365, Active Directory, InTune, Windows Server 2016-2022, etc
* Networking knowledge, such as switches, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, etc
* Used ITSM tools, such as ServiceNow or Freshservice
* Experience with virtual environments and also remote support tools
Nice to have:
* Degree or equivalent relevant qualifications
* ITIL service background would be useful
