Job Title: Test Technician – Manufacturing
Role: FTC (12 months)
Location: Glasgow
Hours: 4 day week Monday-Thursday / 37 hours per week
We’re looking for a number of Test Technicians to join our Optronics and Missile Electronics (OME) team. Our Test Technicians carry out in-depth testing and fault diagnoses of mechanical assemblies.
The roles are based out of our Glasgow manufacturing site. You will work a 4 day week Monday to Thursday and work 9.25 hours per day. Start time is flexible between 6:00am and 7:30am and you get 30 minutes unpaid for lunch. There is also free on-site parking and an on-site canteen.
What you’ll do…
* Ensure all incidents are logged correctly and escalated to H&S leaders as appropriate.
* Escalating Health and safety issues to the Work Cell Manager.
* Perform complex Manufacturing operations in accordance with the associated documentation provided to the quality standards expected in a timely and professional manner.
* Test, diagnose and repair various electronic systems and sub-assemblies to component level.
* Adhere to the defined Company processes when carrying out all tasks.
* Perform self-assessment and approval of products.
* Input and support any continuous improvement actions being worked on within Industry.
* Able to detect any fault or non-compliance and if necessary raise the alert. In addition, when able, should contribute to diagnostics and the finding of the cause/root analysis.
* Manage and record build configuration of product.
* Use the company tools (ERP, Palma etc.) when carrying out product assembly tasks.
What you’ll need…
* Experience working in a production test department.
* An electrical/electronic qualification would be advantageous.
* Able to interpret circuit diagrams and identify faults to component level.
* Ability to Identify and carry out actions required with minimal supervision.
* PC literate in the use of Microsoft Office Tool set.
* Able to secure SC clearance with no restrictions.
