About the Role
An opportunity has arisen for a Landlord Liaison Officer to join us in our Landlord and Housing Register team on a permanent contract, working 34 hours per week. We are looking for someone who is confident with negotiating with landlords and agents to secure homes within the private sector.
The role will involve sourcing suitable accommodation, financially assessing clients and providing advice to landlords and tenants on legal rights and responsibilities.
This position will contribute to providing a high quality and pro-active approach to preventing homelessness and reducing the number of households in temporary accommodation.
You will work closely with the Prevention and Accommodation teams to ensure all accommodation options are explored for those who are at risk of homelessness or need to move on from temporary accommodation.
This is a busy and varied role, but we work as a supportive team who together make a difference.

About You
You will have great communication skills and the ability to confidently communicate with a wide range of people, with the ability to negotiate, persuade and influence.
You will have experience of working in the private rented sector, with landlords and tenants or in housing and homelessness.
You will understand homelessness and of some of the complexities and associated difficulties.
Additionally, you will be able to work on your own initiative and prioritise your own workload.
Selection Process
