Cleveland Clinic London are looking to recruit Security and Control Room Manager. You will be reporting to the Head of Protective Services. This is a high-profile role with organisation-wide responsibility within Cleveland Clinic London (CCL). You will oversees the Regional Security Operations and the London Security Operations Center (LSOC), aiming to mitigate risks to people, property, and activities. This role significantly impacts the quality of the patient and visitor experience and ensures the well-being of caregivers. The manager will create and implement success measures using data-driven decisions that continuously enhance security services, operational efficiency, and resource stewardship. The manager will work closely with the Organisational Resilience, Readiness & Response Manager to train shift supervisors and LSOC teams, supporting CCL’s emergency response through the Incident Command Team, following detailed Emergency Operations and Business Continuity Plans. Collaboration with the Protection and Liaison Manager is also essential for VIP protection and risk assessment. Key responsibilities include managing and training department supervisors, CCTV control room operators, and outsourced security staff. This involves training on LSOC systems/software platforms, policies, procedures, and ensuring compliance with government regulations. The role requires engagement with internal and external stakeholders to foster collaboration and enhance the overall security culture at CCL. The manager oversees the operational, technical, and administrative functions of the Protective Services Department, particularly the LSOC, acting as a resource for shift team members. Operational objectives include effective advanced scheduling of shift rotas, departmental planning to ensure strategy, objectives, goals, and KPIs are met, and providing expert advice, guidance, information, training, and support across all levels concerning security What makes us different? Oversee daily security operations, ensuring adherence to Security Management principles. Provide specialist advice and training on security and protection matters. Enhance and promote security services through training, exercises, and continuous improvement. Conduct regular training drills and simulations to ensure team preparedness. Creating comprehensive security policies and procedures. Regularly reviewing and updating security protocols to adapt to new threats. Ensuring all caregivers are trained and aware of the security policies. Establish and maintain a process for reviewing incidents to identify lessons learned and improve future responses. Identifying potential security risks and vulnerabilities within the organisation. Developing strategies to mitigate identified risks. Regularly conducting security audits and inspections. Oversee investigations conducted by the Protective Services teams. This oversight ensures that all investigations are completed in a timely manner and adhere to high standards of thoroughness and accuracy. Provide guidance and support to the Protective Services teams during the investigation process. Ensure that all investigations are conducted ethically and maintain the integrity of the process. Personally handle sensitive or high-profile investigations. Gather and analyse evidence meticulously to draw accurate conclusions. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with the utmost care. Manage outsourced security contracts and attend SLA/KPI meetings with vendors. Arrange additional security for events or as needed. Other duties assigned What we need from you? Batchelor level or equivalent is required or experience in Security Management, Risk or Intelligence gathering will offset the degree (essential) Evidence of maintaining continuous professional development (desirable) Valid SIA License (essential) Knowledge of international best practice and regulations and law relating to Security (essential) Considerable experience coordinating or managing various projects (essential) Considerable experience of managing a team (essential) Experience of the development and implementation of Security services, policies and procedures (essential) Experience of investigating incidents relating to security (essential) Experience maintaining a discreet and efficient security service while also ensuring the visibility and accessibility of the service and the visibility of security personnel, and finding the right balance (essential) Experience and understanding of the risk management process (essential) Experience of providing training and exercises (essential) Strong technical skills including proficiency in Security systems and platforms (essential) Experience of managing crises, whether medical emergencies, security threats, or unexpected situations (essential) What we can offer you?
