About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Frontend Software Engineer to join our dynamic development team. This role focuses on crafting intuitive, high-performance web interfaces using modern frontend technologies. Key Responsibilities
1. Develop, maintain, and enhance scalable frontend applications using React and Next.js.
2. Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement responsive, visually appealing user interfaces.
3. Write robust, maintainable, and well-documented code in TypeScript.
4. Optimise applications for maximum speed and scalability.
5. Work closely with backend engineers to integrate and consume APIs.
6. Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
7. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to improve development practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
2. Experience: 2+ years of professional experience in frontend development.
3. Proficiency with React.js and Next.js, including server-side rendering (SSR) and static site generation (SSG).
4. Strong understanding of TypeScript, including advanced typing concepts.
5. Solid knowledge of modern web development practices, including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+).
6. Experience working with APIs, including RESTful API integration.
7. Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
8. Understanding of SEO principles and performance optimisation techniques.
9. Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
Desirable Skills (Nice-to-Have)
1. Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, or Cypress.
2. Experience with CSS-in-JS libraries such as Styled-Components or Emotion.
3. Experience working with headless CMS platforms such as Contentful, Prismic, or Sanity.
4. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
5. Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure, Vercel, or Netlify.
