We are currently recruiting for a part-time maternity cover Bookkeeper to be based at our Haverfordwest Office, who will be responsible for assisting in the delivery of all client projects. To demonstrate expected and acceptable behaviours in line with the Firm’s values and build positive relationships with clients and staff.
Main Responsibilities:
* Preparation of weekly and monthly payrolls
* Bookkeeping on QuickBooks, Sage and Xero.
* Addressing any queries with a client that arise during the preparation of their bookkeeping
* Maintenance of client records
* Supporting other team members with technical work when required
* Compliance & Governance
* Ensure that all key targets are always met
* Continually embed the key strategic objectives of the Firm: embedding excellence, enabling growth, create the future
* Ensure that any identified training programmes are adhered to
Person Specification
* Qualified by experience or AAT-qualified
* Has accounting data entry skills with an ability to identify numerical errors
* Demonstrates attention to detail and accuracy
* Has experience with Sage payroll software
* Has experience with Accounting Software, e.g., Xero, Sage and QuickBooks
* Has strong IT skills and working knowledge of Excel
* Can respond quickly and adapt to changing client needs
Working arrangements
* The position is office-based.
* 22 hours per week.
* Monday to Thursday
* Flexible between 9am and 3pm.
* Initial contract is from 13 January 2025 to 31 March 2026.
* There is the possibility of a permanent contract.
