This is a permanent opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Casualty Claims professional to work with the London Wholesale Casualty Claims team. This is a varied and challenging role, where you’ll have to think on your feet, adapt to changing workloads, and efficiently communicate at all levels.
You will be based in our London office; however, we are excited to have implemented our Smart Working initiative offering a hybrid way of working. Most of the team spend approximately half of their time working from home. This flexibility allows a better balance between work and home life, all of which is subject to business requirements.
This is a regulated role under the Central Bank of Ireland’s Fitness and Probity regime.
Essential Responsibilities
1. Embrace and deliver on the strategic drivers that AXA XL has in place from 2024, including tailored client solutions and improving value.
2. Manage a portfolio of mid to high value claims across all jurisdictions, including Canada, Australia, Italy, UK&I, and US.
3. Attend ADR settlement forums as part of the proactive case management philosophy.
4. Analyze policy covers to ensure appropriate application and allocation.
5. Report to Senior Internal Management for all high value, catastrophic, and contentious claims/events.
6. Manage case and block file reserves to meet company standards and market expectations.
7. Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
8. Act as a reference point to Claims Adjusters for support, development, and progression.
9. Oversee our Third Party Administrator and Cover Holder partners.
10. Manage litigation and spend control.
11. Monitor and adjust DA funds for high volume accounts.
12. Work with Offshore/Shared Services to ensure delivery of agreed service.
13. Deliver periodic status updates to Underwriters and Actuaries.
14. Attend new business meetings and presentations.
15. Prepare for and present large claim activity to Management.
16. Manage static and inactive claims as required.
17. Engage with project groups for business improvement.
18. Always look for ways to improve and enhance the service provided.
Required Skills and Abilities

12. Educated to A Level standard minimum, or equivalent.
13. Comprehensive knowledge of ECF2, the Lloyds market, and International Casualty claims.
