Do you thrive in a supportive environment where your dedication is valued?\n\nLong Term Futures are looking to appoint a Behaviour Mentor to work in an alternative provision that supports students in KS3 and KS4. As a Behaviour Mentor at this setting, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students who face behavioural, emotional, or social challenges and provide support for students that are unable to access mainstream education.
You will work closely with students to manage and improve their behaviour, provide tailored interventions and promote positive engagement in their learning.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nWork 1-1 with students who require additional support with behaviour management.\nDevelop and implement tailored behaviour intervention plans.\nProvide emotional and social support to students, promoting positive behaviour and engagement.\nBuild strong, positive relationships with students, encouraging them to take responsibility for their actions and learning.\nSupport students in developing the social and emotional skills necessary to succeed in both academic and life situations.\nMonitor and report on student progress, adjusting interventions as needed.\nCollaborate with staff to create bespoke support packages for students.\nContribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports the "whole student" approach.The ideal candidate will:\n\nHave experience in working with children/young people with challenging behaviours or SEN.\nPrevious experience in an education setting is highly desirable.\nHave strong communication and verbal skills.\nA willingness and capability to support students displaying challenging behaviours.Why Work with Long Term Futures?\n\nEnjoy stable, full-time work with a permanent position available if the role is the right fit.\nCompetitive rates of pay.\nSkip formal interviews and instead participate in trial days to ensure the right fit.\nBenefit from free CPD training, including courses on Behaviour Management to enhance your skills in supporting students.If you feel you would be the right fit for this role, then please apply through submitting your CV.
