Prospero Teaching is looking for a passionate, proactive and enthusiastic Class Teacher to support the learning of pupils in one of our inspirational SEN Settings in Amble on a full-time and long-term basis. About the Role:
- The role will involve Teaching three KS3 aged pupils who are working at KS1 level.
- Planning and teaching engaging and informative lessons that inspire pupils and allows all pupils to make progress.
- Teaching 3 Secondary aged pupils within a SEN setting who have a wide range of SEN and challenging behaviour
- Building positive relationships with pupils and Teaching Assistants to create excellent learning environments.
- Managing challenging behaviour in a positive, proactive and consistent manner
- Differentiating lessons appropriately to suit the needs and earning styles of all pupils.
- Using varied methods of assessment to assess pupil progress
- Displaying high levels of enthusiasm, energy and positivity when working with children.
- Working effectively with Teaching Assistants to ensure children receive the best possible educational experience

Pay, Hours and Contract:
- Pay - Between £130-180 per day
- Hours - 08.30-16.00
- Contract - Full-time until the end of the Academic Year in July 2025. Temporary Contract.
- Start Date - January 2025
- Location - Amble
Experience/Qualifications and Requirements:
- An Enhanced DBS (ideally on the Update Service but this is not essential as we can process a new one for you)
- QTS and Teaching experience in either Primary or Secondary School settings within the UK.
- Strong Behaviour Management skills
- Experience of utilising a range of methods to assess pupil progress
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum
- Strong relationship-building skills with an ability to build rapport
- A positive and resilient attitude towards Teaching and work
- Experience of Teaching within the UK
- A genuine passion for Teaching
- Strong organisation and communication skills
